Eric Segale

Co-Owner

Eric Segale graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Construction Science and Management. He began working for Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC as an intern while in school and continued his career after graduation for the next 14 years in field management.

Working alongside a team of extremely talented coworkers and subs, Eric has gained a wealth of knowledge in the field throughout his tenure. With significant experience in ground-up concrete and steel structures, medical facilities, high-end office renovations, and tenant upfits, Eric is well suited to successfully deliver any project that is presented.

Eric lives in Greenville, SC, with his wife Mandi, their son Leo, and their daughter Lucy. While not on a job site with tools in hand, you’ll find Eric & family adventuring on a trail, river, or lake or on two wheels.

Chase Lanier

Co-Owner

Chase Lanier grew up in Easley, SC and attended Clemson University where he obtained his undergraduate degree in Construction Science and Management. Chase began working at Brasfield and Gorrie, LLC in 2010 where he continued his career for the following 8 years.

During his tenure there, he focused on a variety of projects in healthcare, multi-family, and traditional commercial/office, working in three different states and six various major cities. Before starting Dovetail Construction with Eric, Chase spent four years working with a family business specializing in custom home building and light commercial construction. While working full-time, Chase also obtained his Masters in Business Administration from Clemson University.

Chase lives in Greenville with his wife Brooke, his daughters Rhodes and Draper, and his son Cormac. After work hours, you can find Chase running through the streets of Greenville, on a golf course, watching college football, or playing outside with his family… and most likely drinking coffee.

Kessler Scott

Project Manager

Kessler grew up in Aiken, SC and attended Clemson University, where he majored in Construction Science and Management. Before joining Dovetail, he worked with JE Dunn Construction and Harper General Contractors, where he gained experience in healthcare, hospitality, and industrial construction.

Kessler is a team player who has built strong relationships with local subcontractors, owners, and design teams. He enjoys engaging in each project’s unique challenges with creativity and collaboration.

Kessler lives in Greenville with his wife Caitlin, their daughter Palmer, and their dog Rummy. He enjoys spending time outdoors, golfing, fishing, and cheering on the Clemson Tigers.

Jay Davis

Project Manager

Jay Davis grew up in Augusta, Georgia, and he earned his degree in Construction Science and Management from Clemson University in 2006. After graduating, Jay moved to Charleston, where was an assistant PM with Gulf Stream Construction and then transitioned to Brasfield & Gorrie in 2012 as a PM. With 17 years of experience, Jay has worked on a wide variety of projects, large industrial facilities, personal office upfits, innovative healthcare spaces, among many other projects in Charleston, SC, Atlanta, GA and now in the Upstate.

Jay is excited to serve the Greenville community as a Senior Project Manager now at Dovetail Construction.  He values fostering personal relationships, detailed collaboration with clients including clear communication from initial planning stages, and building trust with clients and project teams along the way as he completes a project.

Jay is blessed to live in Greenville, South Carolina, with his wife, Brittaine, their three sons, Fields, Briggs, and DuBose, and their daughter, Mary-Winn. Outside of work, he enjoys time with his family, golfing, hiking, playing music, surfing when possible, and cheering on the Clemson Tigers.

Chris Lancaster

Superintendent

Chris Lancaster was born and raised in Fountain Inn, SC. He graduated from Clemson University in 2016 with his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. After graduation, Chris developed customer skills in sales of construction materials.

Chris started working for Brasfield and Gorrie, LLC in September of 2019. He had the privilege of working on multiple successful projects, including the Camperdown Development in Greenville, CAMP Eatery, DC Blox Data Center, and Memorial Stadium in Clemson.

Chris and his wife Courtney live in Fountain Inn with their four-legged “child,” Murphy.  In his spare time, Chris enjoys quality time with his family, working on home projects, exercising, and enjoying the outdoors.

Danny Roberts

Superintendent

Danny Roberts was born in the Dominican Republic and raised in New York City. He moved to Easley, SC in 2009 where he began working for a drywall contractor. Danny worked for Sears Contract for several years before transitioning to general contracting with Brasfield and Gorrie, LLC.

Having the opportunity to work on various projects with B&G allowed Danny to realize his love for the field of construction. He was a part of many successful projects, including Falls Tower, Elliot Davis, Blue Bell Creamery, and the renovation of Memorial Stadium in Clemson.

Danny still lives in Easley with his beautiful wife, Catherine, and his three boys–Danell, Adael, and Thiago. In his free time, he is likely with his family, watching movies, listening to music, or playing basketball.

Tyler Miller

Superintendent

Tyler Miller, a native of Fort Mill, SC, attended the University of South Carolina Upstate, where he excelled both academically and athletically as a collegiate baseball player while earning a degree in Criminal Justice. After graduation, Tyler dedicated nearly a decade of his life to serving the citizens of Greenville as a law enforcement officer, where he built a reputation for his commitment to public safety and community service.

After his successful career in law enforcement, Tyler transitioned into the construction industry, where he spent several years honing his expertise in high-end custom residential homes, particularly in the Lake Keowee area. In his combined role as Project Manager and On-Site Superintendent, Tyler gained extensive experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets while overseeing every phase of construction, from project initiation to completion. His hands-on leadership ensures the successful delivery of projects, consistently meeting client expectations while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Tyler currently resides in Simpsonville, SC, with his wife, Corie, and their two sons, Copeland and Camden. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and exploring the outdoors with his two boys.

 

Mark Snyder

Superintendent

Mark, one of five siblings, was born in Grinnell, Iowa, in 1968. He spent his first seventeen years there before graduating high school and moving to Iowa City, where he worked a variety of jobs. In 1990, Mark joined McComas-Lacina Construction, a company with which he would spend the next thirty-five years of his career.

During his tenure at MLC, Mark had the opportunity to work alongside some of the region’s finest professionals on numerous high-profile projects, eventually advancing to the role of superintendent. After relocating to the Upstate, he is excited to bring his decades of experience to Dovetail Construction and contribute to another exceptional team.

Outside of work, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife, Lynn. Together, they like attending sporting events, listening to live music, dining out, and kayaking.

Danell Roberts

Assistant Superintendent

Born in Manhattan, New York in 2006 and raised in Easley, South Carolina, Danell has been surrounded by construction from a young age. His passion for the craft began when he was just eight years old, tagging along to job sites with his dad, Danny Roberts.

A graduate of Easley High School, Danell went on to study Construction Management at Clemson University, where he built on his hands-on experience and deepened his knowledge of the field. He first joined Dovetail Construction as an intern during his junior year of high school and, after three years of learning and growing with the team, is now excited to continue his journey full-time.

Danell looks forward to expanding his skills and contributing to Dovetail’s projects while learning from experienced mentors. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors, listening to music, and being with his family and friends — including his three younger brothers, Adael, Thiago, and Adonis, and his sister, Kayleen.

He’s grateful for the opportunity to keep growing with Dovetail and to turn his lifelong love of construction into a career.

Jackson Digieso

Assistant Superintendent

Jackson Digieso is an Assistant Superintendent at Dovetail Construction with a strong background in residential and historic construction. Raised in Gilbert, South Carolina, he began working in the industry at a young age, assisting with residential remodels, and developing a foundation in project management. He went on to play collegiate football at Presbyterian College and earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the College of Charleston.

After briefly working in marketing, Jackson returned to construction, where he has held roles as a foreman, project manager, and superintendent. His experience includes masonry and high-end residential projects in downtown Charleston, as well as notable historic work such as the Miles Brewton House, Boone Hall Plantation, Emanuel AME Church, and St. Philip’s Church.

Now based in Greenville, Jackson is committed to making a positive impact through his work with Dovetail Construction. He leads by example, taking pride in preparation, attention to detail, and supporting his team to deliver high-quality results for every client. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Olivia, exploring the outdoors with his dog, Crimson, and cheering on his favorite football team.

Nancy Harris

Director of Internal Systems Administration

Nancy has lived in the Greenville, SC area since 1982 and attended Anderson College (now Anderson University) as a Business major. She brings to Dovetail Construction over 30 years of administrative and project support experience in the engineering/construction industry.

Before coming to Dovetail, Nancy worked at Harper General Contractors for over 22 years.  She is familiar with commercial construction projects and has the knowledge and proficiency in an administrative role.  She firmly believes you must have a dedicated team of people for a project to be successful.

Nancy now lives in Taylors, SC with her husband Brian and their dog Sadie.  They have two adult children and welcomed their first grandchild Christmas 2023.  In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, tailgating at Clemson football games, and being active in her church.

Jade Fountain

Strategic Operations Manager

Jade Fountain grew up in Union, SC and attended Furman University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies. Following graduation from Furman, she moved to Charleston, SC where she obtained a Masters in Public Administration from the College of Charleston.

Jade spent over a decade in non-profit administration and fundraising before pivoting after the Covid-19 pandemic to account management and operations for a local consulting firm. Over the course of her 15+ year career, she’s led the behind-the-scenes work that makes organizations actually function – building programs and processes from the ground up and guiding teams through transformation at every stage of growth.

Jade lives in Greenville with her husband Jacob, her son Jack and daughter Nora, and their two mischievous mini Goldendoodles – Camo and Bunny. She enjoys reading, volunteering in the community, and singing in the choir at Westminster Presbyterian Church. You’ll find her traveling as much as possible and cheering on the Clemson Tigers every fall.
